This Week’s Strategy:
Your boss is the #1 most influential person for getting a promotion.
But most people don’t think strategically about this relationship and how to build the best possible perception.
In this newsletter I’m sharing a framework you can use for your 1:1s, to differentiate yourself from your peers and build your internal brand as quickly as possible.
The Framework:
Show up to the meeting.
Catchup and small talk.
Say you have updates to share.
Share your screen.
Run through your updates.
As simple as this seems most people don’t do this and it makes a big difference with your boss’s perception of you — use the template below as a guide and make it your own.
