Do you want a big promotion quickly?

Then you need to impress your boss.
Best way to do that?
Sharing data during 1:1s and team meetings.
In this week’s newsletter I’m sharing my process for doing just that (quickly and easily!) using gsheets and gdocs.

First things, first:
In your next 1:1 ask your boss the following question so you know exactly what you should be focusing on:

FYI Simply aligning on your boss’s priorities will already put you ahead of 90% of your peers (for real for real).

Once you’re aligned on what’s most important to your boss, track your results and progress using gsheets.

Once you get results advocate for yourself by sharing them with your boss.

Most people use the approach of working hard and hoping for the best.
Not the worst strategy (obviously) but if you’re looking to get big promotions quickly that’s not going to cut it.
You gotta learn to “play the game” and one of the best ways to do that is by:
Aligning with your boss on their priorities
Getting results with those priorities
Share your results using data
